Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry if this was long winded but I feel the need to be honest if you are interested in that program. People deserve full context about it all. Especially from another older user.

Last year alone me previous users and I made it well known we didn't like the idea of Canva basically being part of Affinity and all, but it seems $$$ did the talking, and with the AI push on many things, it really feels like they're setting out a carrot on a stick for more users.

I'm only giving you this as a heads up because while your hearing good stuff, there's a lot more to it, and I find it weird now that they made everything for "free" when months ago people were paying for the single programs/collections.

Simple because they say the GenAi stuff is optional or that you have to "pay" to use it doesn't mean it's not in the background somewhere, and considering how pushy AI has been, I'm not holding my breath that they wouldn't silently be scrapping stuff. (We've already seen websites do this)

...but given the wariness of all the programs being tied together, and basically, you need a Canva login to use it? I cannot in good faith fully recommend it, even though a lot of people say the genai stuff is "optional."

Granted, Affinity is trying to be a big competitor to Adobe (And obviously, we need more programs in the market), and I know that being "free" is the biggest selling point about it.

If you mean the art program?

I would say the Original single programs of affinity are good. I use two of them.

However, in good faith, I also can't recommend the latest all-in-one without giving you a heads up simply because of the ethics around it and how it ties into Canva, which has GenAI.

Especially when your body/mind needs it, but you're feeling restless. Sometimes, even doing doodles, chicken scratch, or art fundamental practice helps if you want to keep certain skills sharp.

If all else if you want to make something but you have low energy/focus, try doing step-by-step things in a time slot. Don't let it take your whole focus, and if you have other needs to handle. Allocating time carefully is a good way to at least manage burnout recovery.

From there, it's basically figuring out where your (limited) focus is for something and simplifying tasks like self-care, art, or other projects while being mindful of your focus/energy and needs.

Well, when it came to my burnout (besides eating/resting, and using easy entertainment), I did focus-recovery. Figuring out how much actual energy I had for the day. Cause humans only have so much time for focusing. (4 hours apparently is a peak for us unless somehow we get locked in something)

Really wish Bluesky didn't blackout stuff when you have a backgroundless drawing, but oh well.

Small note: I also managed to return to studying the 1st point perspective by using the front-right side of the image to reinforce perspective. I feel proud about this piece!
