An upcoming sociopolitical podcast, delivering an irreverent and darkly funny autopsy on the structural failures in society that underpin the daily news. You can find the daily churn anywhere. Here, you find out how it was allowed to happen.
Does that distinction between "dog whistle" and "policy abstraction" hold up, or is that giving them too much credit?

It’s tough to figure out what to be pissed about most. The laziness of the lies is pretty insulting.

Because we continue rewarding incumbents with no spine. If either party made it possible for serious people to be elected to office, Trump would have been a lame duck from the beginning if he were ever elected in the first place.

I’m sure that’s good for the economy. There’s no other explanation.

He couldn’t do it here, there’s no reason to think he’d have an epiphany about democracy overseas.

He thought he could send troops to Mexico, do you think he’s going to just let Venezuela pick someone to govern?

These are just a few of the systemic issues that need to be addressed. And in all honesty, too many to mention for midterms. Dems should hit on 3 solid issues without being distracted by culture wars. Immigration, Separation of powers (shut down the tariffs), healthcare. Hammer those and they win.

I’m just waiting for the docket to show a case that decides whether a fetus has the right to conceal carry.

If you had those nickels for the BP engineers, your checking account would rival Bezos.

I’m going with 3.

The grammar issue is rampant across the country and I don’t think Congress has the stomach for Iran and Venezuela.

And since we know from the ass’s own mouth that he’s hopped up on aspirin, his cognitive decline is almost forgone by now, (If that’s still possible).

How do you like Crockett’s odds if she runs?

Does he know his voting record is available publicly? We can see how he’s voted. He tried to penalize 501(c) board members for “misconduct” - basically being activists. But this isn’t “making law”?

Sometimes I wonder if politicians know how the internet works.

I can’t tell if Massie forgot there’s an R next to his name or if he’s trying to survive post-Trump. But he’s been a bit ballsy lately. Does he just see the iceberg?

If Dems are going to capitalize on the exodus, they better be smart. Prop up moderates where you need to attract more than the base. Prop up progressives in districts hungry for reform.

Stop pretending progressives are red headed step kids in districts they can win.

The insights are invaluable. Much appreciated. It’s always great to have insight from people with direct knowledge or experience.

I appreciate the follow up immensely. I’ll be writing on the housing crisis shortly and this factors in.

And getting rid of Bondi is a speed bump, not a tire blow out. Trump will pardon her and just find another obstructionist AG that won’t prosecute her if she lies to Congress. Midterms are the difference between handcuffs and lies.

Meet voters where they are. If TX needs a more reliable senator and energy grid, explain to them how you’ll keep their lights on. If KY needs a more robust education system, then be honest about the shit system they have. We have systemic issues. Shed your elitist vibe and get on it.
