I’m such a bad Stephen King fan, I didn’t realise Dick Hallorann is the original character with the Shining ability.

Started a fresh playthrough of both HORIZON games, since I never finished FORBIDDEN WEST’s expansion nor played ZERO DAWN Remastered.

The Remaster is god damn gorgeous - entirely new animations too for every dialogue, something I only have seen in FORBIDDEN WEST and BG3. Amazing.

Still think about how I went from loving to genuinely hating the story of CLAIR OBSCUR. I've never had that experience: The big revelation at the end of the second act genuinely felt like I'd been robbed of the amazing story and journey up until then. I will never play it again.

Finished KILLER FREQUENCY and all of GHOST OF TSUSHIMA: DIRECTOR'S CUT. Brilliant games. Don't sleep on Killer Frequency if you love slashers, with excellent writing and even better performances.

God dammit: Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 might be one of the best games I've ever played. Dammit dammit dammit. It's probably my game of the year. Holy crap. It's so damn good. I have laughed so often and so hard.

Why has no one been talking about how, in WAR OF THE WORLDS (2025), the writing is so bad, it looks like planes themselves are "falling to their deaths".

Ok time to watch - I know nothing about it except the dog doesn’t die

How did Penny Dreadful happen?! 3 whole seasons starring Josh Hartnett and Eva Green, featuring Timothy Dalton, Billie Piper and Rory Kinnear (as the best Frankstein's monster), telling Dracula, Dr Jekyll, Frankenstein, and Dorian Gray stories with the main characters who are a werewolf and a witch?

If I had a dollar for every time Oscar Isaac was in a movie where he was a genius but flawed science guy targeted by his own creation, I’d have two dollars which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice

Do not tell a brown man with an Arabic name how to view the US. It IS uniquely terrible, I'm not "pretending". I hate much of the US and what it's done to the world, especially to people who look like me. Also what the gov't does to its own people is one of the grossest violations of human rights.

I'm sorry: There's a Ryan Murphy et all series based on 911 responders, it has 9 seasons already and for some reason they sent Angela Bassett to space?! WTF is this show?? NINE SEASONS?!

This is such a powerful opening paragraph to a stunning essay, I am still thinking about it hours later.

"The totality of global-population management at all the levels of regulation today aims to achieve one goal: the preservation of the world caste system designed to shrink the horizon of opportunities of the less fortunate majority."

I love Vince Gilligan so much - even the synopsis is well-written.

As a fellow "of Indian-origin", Madani quoting Nehru (the first prime minister of an independent India) made me feel a lot of things. Mamdani quoted from "A Tryst with Destiny" - a remarkable, beautiful and powerful speech Nehru gave on the eve of India's independence from colonial rule.
