The fact that I have to spell this out for grown adults is indicative of how many people are still clinging to comforting denialism of the realities of fascism.

It is jaw droppingly naïve at this point to honestly believe that the authoritarian regime currently using masked, plainclothes agents to kidnap people into concentration camps and deport them into slavery, and who is currently occupying the capital, will allow you to vote them out of power.

Those of us who warned—before the election—that a Trump regime would eventually come for everyone were called “cynics”, “alarmists”, “idiots”, or worse.
