Revisiting an old favorite (the 1990 movie “The Witches”) for some Halloween tattoo designs 🎃❤️

A digital illustration of a grotto, in the center of it sits a skeleton, of which you only see part of the top half, is sitting in the bright, twinkling water nestled between some rocks. A gold necklace is draped over the skull. On the biggest rock behind the skeleton there's a pile of coins, gems, jewelry and other shiny things. Behind that rock is a tall shrub on which a Red-billed Blue magpie sits with a gold, pearl and ruby brooch in its beak. There's a hole in the ceiling of the grotto letting in a beam of light, hitting the shrub and the pile of treasure. The grotto is closed off with tall, moss and shrub covered rock walls. The overall style of the piece is done with somewhat looser, textured brush strokes.

All designs have little dots and sparkles surrounding them.

Alongside tattoos I've been working on various commission and here's one I can finally share! This one was for a birth announcement card I had the absolute pleasure, and honor, of making. 😊

Today was my turn to get tattooed again and I just want to formally apologize to anyone and everyone I’ve tattooed around the hipbone and ribs. 😮‍💨

I realize I am back at the point where nobody but 3 of my friends sees/reacts to what I post so I may as well go back to sharing mundane things only they care about because that’s more fun than trying to play the game and losing constantly.

To say I miss him every day is an understatement.

A little sleepy bat with some very special flowers. 💖🌸 (part healed, part fresh)

Snatched up as a flash sketch a while back, the flowers were later on changed to commemorate a loved one.
I always feel honoured to be trusted with such a special project. ❤️

For years I've been creating designs in a series called "Sleepy Animals" which is my basically homage to roadkill, wishing all little souls that get taken this way grow into something beautiful.

Here's the latest in the series, most exist as tattoos but this one will be a sticker and postcard.

It's always such a joy to work on Ghibli tattoos, one of the big reasons is that I get to revisit some of my favorite movies and indulge in hours of taking and combing through screenshots. 😊

Finished almost exactly a year ago, I miss working on this!
