As JE said, riling up the Right is easy as shooting crackers in a barrel. The hubbub over the chain’s proposed signage revamp hasn’t done squat to improve the chain’s lousy grub. Took this shot on a bike trip to Asheville, North Carolina, when I was too tired find something actually edible.

It’s my fault that I’ve lost access to www.combatvetsusa.org, our club’s page. Been trying to get it back from BlueSky — where I thought I had moved from GoDaddy for hosting. Clearly not. @pfrazee.com has said he could help. They’ve got bigger fish than idiots like me for sure. Still, what a pain!

Here’s hoping everyone has a purrrfect Christmas — or whatever name you choose to use for our winter holiday.

Rain and colder weather are on the way, so Hazel and I made the best of a pretty Monday. We rode southwest through the mountains to Amicaola Falls near Dawsonville, Georgia. It was a perfect day for a hike to the falls.

Put on a new 19-inch Memphis Shades windscreen today, same as the old but two inches taller. I dropped the mounts and headlight a tad to lower them. About an hour of satisfying work than went for a short spin. It was a bit cool at 59- or 60-degrees, but the sun came out on my ride. Nice.

Might as well admit it.

This shirt is made by inmates in Oregon prisons and sells for $54; Prison Blues stuff isn’t made for dress wear, but for work. Jobs at Prison Blues pay industry-level wages, but workers only get to keep about $150 a month with the remainder going to prison costs. www.davidmorgan.com/shop/product...

At the confluence of the Valley and Hiawassee rivers in Murphy, North Carolina on a beautiful autumn day. That’s the Valley River on the left, the one under the bridge.

Almost 2024 already and where’s my JetBike? I left Ocean Pines, Maryland, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time and fought Formula 1 holiday traffic across a rainy eastern US for more than 13 hours in my aging but unfailing Tacoma. Yep, Hazel the pup and age slowed me down a bit, but come on! Jetsons? Nope!
