It felt like the play calling did not help at all. So many runs up the middle. Very little pre snap motion. Very little misdirection

Now this is the kind of writing advice I'm looking for

Anyway dragons as magic >>> dragons as quip machines.

And don't get me wrong, I do like the quirky guy casting fireball, but when I put those books down, I never think about them again. Compared to the magic of something like Earth Sea, which I think about way more often.
