Made a nice frame-by-frame fire, then tried my own shaders… and they looked better. Profiler agrees, so the animation is out and the shaders stay😶‍🌫️

Reached the design polishing stage! There’s still one big coding task for assigning cats, but I’m already grateful to my past self for making the architecture expandable and much cleaner, even if it took forever.

I wanted to use Photoshop for animation, but it was inconvenient. I used OpenToonz and Procreate Dreams before, but their brushes didn’t work. After a long search, I found the AnimDessin 2 plugin. In the end-success! I want to animate everything!

Sometimes, I revisit my unfinished mobile solitaire project on Unity. I’ve got enough art for two games 🤯 but need the code. It’s also a chance to see how Godot handles mobile. So far, I’ve added card rendering, a shuffled deck, and a discard pile🫠

Today, I practiced state machines in Godot. Splitting logic into scripts has always been tricky. I made a simple task: an image transitioning through Hidden, Fading In, Visible, and Fading Out states. I tried something similar in my game before, but it didn’t work right away😕
