#FolkloreSunday Krampus, in central European popular legend, a half-goat, half-demon monster that punishes misbehaving children at Christmastime. He is the devilish companion of St. Nicholas. His name derives from the German word Krampen, which means “claw.” britannica.com/topic/Krampus

This book studies how the intersection of the Doppelgänger and the Gothic reveals repressed aspects of our past. The concept of the doppelgänger has seen a resurgence in popular culture, with films and series like 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' and 'Dark'. link.springer.com/book/9783031...

#FolkloreSunday Monarch butterflies are believed to carry the souls of those who have passed away. As their migrations usually occur in November and coincide with Día de los Muertos, the sight of these butterflies brings comfort to Latin American cultures. blog.rosettastone.com/autumn-super...

Just finished watching Guillermo del Toro's #Frankenstein on Netflix. I liked it, but, honestly, I don't know why Victor's tale is so different from Shelley's novel. I also found the Beauty & the Beast bit unnecessary. Jacob Elordi's performance is brilliant, he embodies purity.
