i honestly just googled what i needed to learn at the time, didnt follow any single resource.

oh yeah i had a whole fantasy setting built alongside this lol. a setting with intelligent creatures called "Mystical Beasts" that could form pacts with a person, and once a pact was formed they could communicate freely across the language barrier.. this one was called a "Cherub."

tried it to an extent, but it results in a lot of inconsistency. so you have to balance where to apply handpainted shading. only works in certain environments, sadly. imagine a very dim setting, the entire model would need shading! so handpainted shading only applies to the environment its in

wings cover lots of the body, it kinda looks like a mess of feathers and limbs. i dont blame anyone if they dont know wtf theyre looking at.
heres some extra pics idk. used shapekeys to bend the wings because no way im modeling individual feathers lol. wanted this to work out better than it did...
