For nearly 95 years, the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel has connected Downtown Detroit and Downtown Windsor, strengthening our lasting partnership with Ontario, Canada. I was honored to introduce House Resolution 197 to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel!

This year, disabled women are facing massive cuts to employment programs and services and even our ability to track those cuts is being blocked. When data disappears, so do stories. That’s why #DisabledWomensEqualPayDay matters more than ever.

Just 6 days remain before a potential government shutdown. If we cannot reach a deal before September 30th, everyday services could face major interruptions. From State Parks to health programs and the workers involved going unpaid. Time is running out.

Thank you to the leaders of HUDA for the tour of their clinic. HUDA is one of Michigan's most active free clinics, providing health care for families across Metro Detroit

On this day, we remember the lives lost on 9/11 and honor the bravery of all first responders who ran toward danger. Today, we also thank our local firefighters, EMTs and police officers who continue that legacy of service and sacrifice here at home.

Labor Day reminds us that progress didn’t just happen — it was fought for. From fair hours to child labor laws, unions and workers demanded justice. We owe it to them to keep pushing forward.

105 years ago, the 19th Amendment moved us closer to dignity, fairness & equality. We honor the women who fought for suffrage & recommit to protecting rights under attack today. The work isn’t finished. #WomensEqualityDay

Michiganders are working harder than ever just to get by. They need leaders who will stand up for them — not slash their benefits. I am committed to passing a fair, balanced budget on time.

Without a final education budget passed, schools across Michigan are operating in the dark, which means that vital support like school meals will be cut. House Democrats will always fight to support our schools, uplift our educators and help kids thrive.

What a day to be a celebrity scooper! 🍦 Big shoutout to Michigan’s own Moose Tracks for dishing out 10,000 scoops to raise $10K for the Salvation Army. All for a great cause, right in the heart of summer. Proud to be part of it!

Fantastic time at the Genesee County BBQ and Rep. Amos O'Neal's annual BBQ in Saginaw. One of my favorite parts about campaign stops during the summer (besides the nice weather) is having a conversation with friends about my run for U.S. Senate over some BBQ.
