honestly, i do think this sabotage/erasure angle has also been intentional, because it has bred this kind of “stanning.” for every slight against their favorite, they turn and create these goals for themselves which makes the company more profit all while strengthening emotional involvement.

bang pd’s tantrum is what allowed newjeans (njz) to break free and they are leaving with millions of profit under their belt and all those collaborations. was watching their content the other day, and their strategy has been solid and refreshing. hybe messed up.

have not been on here as much because i have been obsessively playing my town game. hybe should have reconsidered their move with the latest fiasco, however. try to be more tactful next time.

checked twitter for a bit to see what the current conversation is about, but it was the same old thing with the exception of another member’s solos trying to drag taehyung byway of his brand endorsements. surreal stuff.

the 2020 run bts cooking episode where tk had to be sims for seokjin was hilarious. in the end, their meal won, so taehyung was ecstatic and told jk, “see, i told you i’m learning how to cook” only for jk to kill it because he said it’s better to cook alone (paraphrasing)… a classic

I’m aware people complain about taehyung not receiving an “equal promotional period” for his music, but like it or not, this has been a good investment for him in terms of keeping a presence in asia, in the fourth most populated country with a trillion dollar economy.

the continuous mentions of jk in those “update” letters from that individual only highlight the dependence that individual’s brand has on jk’s more independent brand and reputation. it’s amusing to witness how one-sided it is these days.

let us not forget that the buddy system move was designed to attach xx’s brand to that of someone whose image suffered a massive hit during their debut as a soloist. the team went into crisis mode and delivered AYS and likely buddy system enlistment as a cherry on top.

some things should not be said but imagine if it made more sense for xx to stay with hybe, and for xxx to leave. i’m thinking if xx stays for a short period of time (since the brand is under both bighit and xx), and then follows xxx after that. it would be a more conservative approach, if you must.

it will be interesting to see if taekook will renew their contract. after the trend reports leaks, i would hope they understand the strategies used for both of them aren’t the best for their respective brands. but there is always the “better the devil you know” aspect that makes this complex.

just because bighit is co-director of jungkook’s brand isn’t necessarily a marker for all the depressing and annoying takes. jungkook could apply to change that if he wished, like if he wasn’t renewing his contract down the line. as it happens, i think it was a good move for now.

taekook are doing the bit where they’re both active around the same time. for example: jk uploads on ig; taehyung goes on weverse the next(?) day. back in december, they did a similar thing. is it a coincidence or are they spending some time together? hopefully they are ^^

hybe is in such a terrible place right now, i wonder whether they will be able to keep bts under their roster as the contract negotiations have received dubious response from the Korean fandom and the public. a future for bts without some members is entirely plausible in today’s landscape.
