Sounds like it's a way of attracting other countries to dump their pollution in Malaysia - much as they do their recycling now, most of which gets burnt or buried.

I always listen to and greatly enjoy your podcasts with the Australian Institute. The only thing I picked up on is that you still talk 'growth'. Do you still believe that continual economic growth is feasible in a finite world?

Talking to an old forester, he said they used to go into the bush and put out spot fires, now they rely on aerial water bombing and are not getting involved until fire has formed uncontrollably large fire front. Shouldn't we consider funding highly trained smoke jumpers?

Europeans and us in Australia are also to blame. Our leaders have sucked up to Trump We've not clamped down on social media bots and trolls funded by the far right. We've not done our fair share in the world, leaving the US to be the world's defence force.
