This rant may or may not stem from the fact that the city I was born in is one of the richest in jobs but is rated as one of the worst for poverty. I only see things getting worse from here.

It’s really funny, too, because by megacorp standards *someone* always has to be on the chopping block even if they aren’t doing poorly. This isn’t even decided by people but by an equation or algorithm. We traded our futures for the ability to treat someone working at a fast food shop like shit.
