For instance, I don't really think it's a great idea for a designer to not know how to draw. While close friends of mine, who are like this exist, I think they could really do a lot better if they tried. Skill and knowledge are two different things.

This changes the inherent nature of creative professions and people in them since the detachment of skill means that we may have an increase in the acceptance of sub-par work.

Although I feel that with the increase in drag and drop and modulation based tools, we are kind of relying less and less on skill and more on knowledge, this changes the existing paradigm of an artist needing to have skill, defined as a physical and mental expertise from a task repeated.
