We have STV for council elections
I fear we could end up with a list MSP who is Reform in the Holyrood elections next yr. Our voting system is a complex form of PR and we have constituency MSPs and a list of six MSPs that represent a region

Things are pretty shite in the UK higher ed sector but it comes to something when you look across at USA Higher Ed sector esp the ivy league and say 'it could be worse'. It's staggering that across Europe there are now efforts to help USA researchers to escape. The flow was always the other way

It's hard when a party you have associated with for decades is effectively taken from you. Not sure who I will vote for in Holyrood elections. Emphatically not nationalist and loathe the Tories. Scot greens are a v different beastie from party in rest of UK

My Godfather left after the libdems joined the coalition. He had been a liberal cllr from '75 to '90 and was mayor of Boston twice. He's dead now . Would be horrified to learn Boston has Reform MP.

In our home the kitchen division is: husband CAN cook but I ENJOY cooking. He's a dab hand at frozen pizza but did manage to do all the cooking from 23 Dec to 2 Jan 2yrs ago under supervision when I broke my right elbow and flew unaided when I had a serious head injury

This member of the labour party still believes we should give those fleeing persecution and war asylum. As for the rules that those needing visas to work and the obscene cost of visas that makes me so angry. Why don't we close our airspace etc and put up signs saying 'just piss off'

Ditto for the Huguenot descent but on maternal side. Dad's side are about as Scottish as you can get. Fought in Macbeth's side who was a good king. Shakespeare did a hatchet job on him

asylum numbers are down in Europe but still up for UK.
The big problem britain faces now is outside the EU and Dublin regulation traffickers are shouting: "EU asylum application failed? no worries! just head to brexit britain!"
Climate refugees will begin to flow soon.
UK should re-join EU.
