made my first analog 4 track recording with my Teac 2340.
Very dark, damaged stuff. Fairly reflective of my headspace.
I dropped the audio over top of Phillipe Garrell's 1968 short "Actua"

First time I have ever seen this. A 1968 poster for Pink Floyd by Martin Sharp

the artist Ferdinand Kriwet was strongly linked to the Creamcheese. He did the outside banner, many invitations and his art as often projected in the club itself

free loops!

Started making loops years ago because i had never been in a band & i wanted to learn how to play lead. These are mostly 60's american psych and adjacent. video below for examples. 140 or so. cut & looped in audacity. For use in your practice. DL in comments

I think people forget the importance of aesthetics

These albums were released 2 months apart. Both are extremely heavy, but only one is metal.

Today I gave up on the idea I will ever be a decent finger style guitarist. That being said, this awesome pick helps bridge the gap between strumming and fingerpicking & it's very much working for me!

Reading the Hacienda book by Peter Hook and in it there is a quote from Tony Wilson from 1982 saying how much he hated Simple Minds. I found that a bit surprising as most all of SM output prior to that year was really excellent with some edge. I can see how "New Gold Dream" was too slick but still.

i decided to splash out on this new, insane PF book. "follows the story of Pink Floyd’s during 1967. Cololects virtually every known piece of paper written & photo snapped. 500 images, most of which are not-beforepublished or have not been republished since 1967

I decided to pick up one of the JHS NOTADÜMBLË pedals, & I have to say it's really impressive. I don't know much about Dumble as I am not a Meyer, Bonamassa, boardroom blues kinda guy but it really adds something to the tone. Sounds different when you pair it with other preamp pedals too

Got my first grown-up guitar. Thankfully, it was second-hand, and I traded some pedals to get it, but it's so nice.

Looks like this got re-upped. Most all of the incredible French music program Pop Deux has returned to the Internet Archive. You can see & download them here. I selected one for reference that isnt available anywhere else. Michael Chapman from 1970

having 2 reel to reels means you can not only use them as tape echoes but you can do it in stereo. left deck is at a slow speed and right is at mid speed.

Forget Sweetwater. The new place to get guitar accessories is the medical supply house. Using the Gong/Hillage surgical instrument way versus a slide
