+1 to switching to Linux. It isn’t pain-free but it is less painful than continuing to be abused/spied on by Microsoft.

The Arch Linux wiki is a fantastic resource, no matter your distro, and if you truly need Windows for something, look up libvirt to set up a virtual machine to run it.
