Faustino Oro is on fire in Menorca Open and needs 1.5/3, or 1/3 if he is lucky, to score his first GM norm. That will make him the youngest-ever to achieve one.

Thanks to Mehmet Ismail for some great research on the greatest ever tournament performances based on his new formula. After scoring 9/9 in Grenke Freestyle Chess, the list is now topped by Carlsen.

Carlsen returns to classical chess by farming in the Norwegian League, scores 3/3 to gain 4 rating points. He has now scored 10/11 since the 2019/2020 season, only giving away two draws.
