Being liked and popular won’t save us.

Being comfortable won’t save us.

Being cowardly will end us.

Being kind will save us.

Being truthful, brave and unwilling to go along to get along will save us.

Fascism needs gamesmanship to thrive. Don’t play the game.

Embrace the curmudgeons, the introverts, the corny, the old, the wounded weirdo’s who don’t fit in not because they’re toxic but because they’re sensitive.

They’ve been hurt by “the game” and aren’t shy about telling the truth.

Being cool won’t save us.

Stop playing “the game.” It kills community. I’ve seen it too many times.

I’ve seen people betrayed by their friends for the sake of comfort, popularity, wealth & power.

“I’ve got mine, figure it out for yourself”

We won’t survive like this.

Those who play “the game” are seen as cool or "safe".

They hate to be made to feel uncomfortable and or complicit so truth tellers and troublemakers are pushed out or made invisible.

But healthy media ecosystem should include a variety of different types of voices.

It’s everywhere not just media and journalism.

“Smiling in your face, all the time they want to take your place… backstabbers.”

That gamesmanship not only creates and spreads a culture it also filters out certain types of people…

Curmudgeons, shy folks, uncool kids…

It was sound advice because my professors knew I had a problem…

I was/am terrible at playing “the game”

The gamesmanship of advancement.

It’s seen as a must for success in this hyper competitive world.

I see it as a reason we’re in our current political nightmare.
