It's getting colder where I live (close to freezing at night sometimes)
and spiders are getting sparse. This is the largest I've found outside in the last few days. Wolf spider.

A large european hornet. European hornets are not native to here, but they are considered naturalized as they fit into the ecosystem without harming or destabilizing it.
