Be careful folks! Copperheads like this very healthy ~2.5 footer are now out & about. I crossed paths with this guy this morning on a workout trail near my home. Note how great his camouflage is when he is in the forest floor leaves/debris. They are not aggressive! Leave them be.

Red Bud trees are “popping” this week in central piedmont NC.

Watched an old episode of the 1960s Andy Griffith show. Andy, Opie, & Aunt Bee were having dinner at home & I noted the size of the plates, cups, & serving sizes…authentic to that time b/c I grew up then. Today’s plates, cups, serving sizes are MUCH larger. No wonder so many are overweight/obese!

Watching Army-Navy football game…a must game to watch for me every yr. I love seeing 2 teams with good football players, playing hard, competing intensively…but no trash-talking, overly demonstrative behaviors…untainted by NIL or transfer portal, or soon to be revenue sharing.

Trump’s transition operation announced today it had signed an agreement with the Justice Department that will allow the FBI to conduct background checks on people Trump intends to appoint. Why is it not mandatory that the FBI, specifically, MUST conduct background checks?

“Big Ten fines Michigan, Ohio State $100k each for postgame brawl.” BOTH teams “at fault”…but without the stupid “flag planting” by a Michigan player it is unlikely anything would have happened. Michigan should be fined more than Ohio State & the flag planting player penalized!

When our Constitution was written a goal the Founding Fathers had was we would NEVER have a KING but an elected President accountable to the people, his power balanced by the Legislative & Judicial branches. NO President was intended to & should NOT have the power to do what Trump is doing.
