I’m so sorry. That must be incredibly hard. Grief doesn’t really fully go away…it just evolves into new forms with time.

Ada Limon’s works would be a great place to start if you haven’t read her works already. I like Yesika Salgado’s poetry too.

Outside of BART and certain cities like SF, Oakland, and Berkeley, NorCal’s public transit leaves much to be desired. Honestly, people make fun of LA, but I get around on public transit here in a way I can’t in the NorCal suburb I grew up in.
