Alors, on danse.
I like to imagine it as lapsang souchong with the citric slight bitterness of brewed up young fir tree shoots (or pine I guess). Not terrible as such but something not everyone will like.

Absolutely, to the point of making repairs very hard on items that really should not be throw-away.
January 22, 2026 at 12:33 AM
Absolutely. Modern monopolist social media murdered this valuable source of community and absorbed it into the disgusting slop they always were.

Shame about the Sisters of Silence, who I see being rolled into Inquisition support, but the SoB have had it much, much better than before. I still remember the times where all they'd ever get was being made hats of for the baby carrier knights to wear.

To repeat, a female friend is now near constantly asking me (me being subscribed to the GW newsletter and following warhammer accounts on socials) when the custodes are finally on sale because she will buy an army even if it costs her hundreds.

They're fine models, too, and finally tall enough.

ah, the ultramar auxilia outfit. :D

Turns out the ducks in the park aren't free and now he is whining the cops took back his 467 ducks. Oh no! Who'd have thought.

It's simple: tread lightly around someone else's IP. That's their house, you are the guest, so don't shit in the bed, pee sitting down and don't steal the silverware.

Precisely my impression.

Also, the subsequent episodes actually always fell more short of that promise - no novel jokes, no new ideas, instead more and more pivoting to feed the worst aspects of the Warhammer fandom soundbites to have them then use in internet arguments far removed from reality.

I have a hard time seeing any use for LLMs that justifies their ressource consumption, and isn't quite oppressive(where false positives (and hallucinations) on suspected activities and such are a feature, not a bug).

Neural Networks can do interesting things. LLMs seem a dead end to me, though.

A longblade? Also, consider secondary Chimera turrets for maximum T-42-ness.
January 20, 2026 at 9:52 AM
I laughed. :D
January 20, 2026 at 9:50 AM
Is that new or have I just been blind all this time? Thanks, anyway! Finally rid of that nuisance. WHEW.
January 19, 2026 at 11:06 PM
How. HOW. Where do you turn off the AI settings in Reader. Because I am SO FUCKING FED UP by this thing wanting to summarise the file I OPENED IT TO READ FOR MYSELF.

Right in the middle, edging towards horny at times.
January 19, 2026 at 10:13 PM
Awww, the crouching pose!
January 19, 2026 at 12:36 PM
Primarch-like leader? Because the Ordo Militant Majoris were founded by named characters? I think these touriosts have no idea what a Primarch is.

In 40K, I suppose they'll be entirely rolled into Agents of the Imperium before long. Kinda like Eisenhorn's Null cadre but with fancier armour and a LOT of history.
January 19, 2026 at 2:26 AM
That said, if you want to do a Thunder Warrior army, you could just use old custodes bodies and Mk I heads.
January 18, 2026 at 7:22 PM
I really like them better now. Always felt the legionnary-inspired design was a bit too off and Thunder Warrior. They were originally intended to be visually distinct with their celtic king hat style helm and should have been done as such before. Good that's been rectified.
January 18, 2026 at 7:21 PM
It would be somewhat easier to know if they wore the Bowie-pattern design they were first depicted in, though the whole super-growth process probably would render that distinction difficult to determine at best too.
January 18, 2026 at 7:18 PM
.... and on the topic of "this will not get women into the hobby anyway" front ... a female friend of mine has seen the previews of the new Custodes and now is badgering me where to buy these because she spontaneously decided to finally get a proper army.
January 18, 2026 at 2:15 PM
Multiresistant Leprosy in fingers and voicebox so they have no way of using their AI tools again.
January 18, 2026 at 1:45 AM
He's an Eldar so he totally is.
January 17, 2026 at 11:24 AM
It's a very, very flattering planar breakdown, especially the nose, cheeks and hairline.

That's another thing I dislike about LLMs: their tendency to flatter you like they're the greasy, slimy minions of some supervillain.

Which, of course, they actually are.
January 16, 2026 at 11:34 AM
It had very limited use to me personally, too. Can't answer questions factually with an accurcy that's trustworthy, so doesn't save me time looking stuff up; can't produce anything that doesn't come with a large helping of Uncanny Valley, and is bloody annoyingly trying to get you to engage.
