Are readers calling out publishers on errors less frequently? Probably. Are properly trained copy editors a dying breed? Yes, imo. Are print and online publishers seeing how much of their editing budget they can cut and still appear mostly professional? Absolutely.

Definitely not just you, and definitely not just those websites, sadly. Some of the stuff making it through to press even with mainstream trad publishers is cringeworthy. Is the average person's tolerance for error higher now because we're constantly communicating by informal text? Likely.
