Oh yessss. I've knit scarves, gloves (fingerless), bags, but never an actual clothing item. I wonder if this could be made in pieces and then stitched together. That might be easier. I hope there's a similar pattern out there somewhere.

Beautiful! The vest would be great in silk/cotton over a tank top -- a way to wear something knitted even in hot weather.
