Anyone else’s social media being taken over by Steve Le Poisson? That song has been stuck in my head for days, so I created an Easter egg version of him.

Feels like spring over here. Snow peas and a carrot poking their heads up

This weeks loaf is another chocolate, coffee sourdough loaf. I doubled the recipe and cooked it in my Dutch oven instead of the terracotta baker for a softer crust.

It smells divine

Y’all 👀. This is the best bread I have ever made. Chocolate and coffee sourdough loaf. Recipe found on TikTok by the account TLCsourdough. It’s so good and definitely a dessert bread or something to have with your afternoon coffee or tea.

Another week, another sourdough loaf. Made a plain one today. I’ve got a chocolate, coffee loaf proofing in the fridge now to be baked tomorrow. It’s a new recipe so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

It may be freezing outside but it’s an average of 10° C in the greenhouse. Planted snap peas, carrots, radishes, beets, kale, spinach, and green onions.

Am I seeing things, or is there a displeased face in my bread? 😒

A plain round sourdough loaf today.

Test knit rainbow ribbing to see if I liked the colors and if the gauge was okay. The ribbing will be along the bottom, at the sleeve cuffs, and around the inside and neck.

Sourdough loaf for game night this week. I tried something different by adding a dried veggie mix throughout. I think the amount is good but I’d need to add it in far sooner in the stretch and fold process to have it be more evenly dispersed.

Feeling very “the horrors persist, but so do I” at the moment. So I made some chocolate cookies with mint chips. I used sourdough discards and this recipe:

More progress on my cardigan. I’m thinking I want this to be a not so subtle pride ally look with rainbow ribbing 🏳️‍🌈 along the edges and the sleeve cuffs. The pattern calls for 7cm of ribbing so maybe 1cm per color? Anyone do something similar to this and have advice tips?

Results are in and the lemon rosemary is the family favorite, which is saying something considering the other one is cheesy. I let the loaf ferment in the fridge for a bit over a day to have the lemon zest permeate the loaf 🍋

Fresh baked sourdough for game night tonight. Garlic parmesan on the left; lemon rosemary on the right.
