Imagine how it feels for abuse survivors to watch our government tie into pretzel knots to protect abusers. Note other evidence of ratified depravity: separated families; racist laws as drafted and applied; mocking people with disabilities; ignoring science. We are paying for this with our taxes.

I walked past BU student Meng Jin’s ghost bike yesterday evening. I share to remind us all to watch out for bikers and pedestrians. The streets seem wilder these days. I hope he is in a better place and his family and friends have found some solace.

Do you have a favorite tree? This is mine. She’s in the Public Garden. We are both missing the pond water, the ducks, and the beloved Swan Boats. But we’re excited for Spring and her gorgeous leaves.

It can be a radical act to harness your attention so you have the strength to act when you are ready. Take delight in willfully turning your attention from those who seek to hurt you and towards those who make up your supportive community. They are nothing if we attend to each other.

Research on endometriosis has been purged because of “DEI” bans promulgated by the worst our society offers. These Executive Orders are a bald attempt to keep fragile egos from facing how ignorant and tired they are. Focusing on my community and how I can continue educating reality, not ignorance.

As done with critical-race theory, “GOO” has bastardized DEI to make it seem less than. What phrase best describes the incoming cabinet? OIE? Obsequious, Incompetent, and Exclusionary? Open to other suggestions.
