Briefly experimenting with in-engine tools to create placeholders that happened to be created with AI isn't the same thing as using generative AI for development. AI is bad, I get it. I agree. But do you honestly believe their team deserves the extreme backlash they are receiving for this?

No generative AI assets were used in the game, as stated above. Everyone is acting like they used AI as the foundation and basis of everything they did when that is nowhere close to the reality. I am firmly against AI use in creative spaces, but these reactions are so overblown. It's exhausting.

The downside, if I'm understanding Nintendo's website correctly, is that you have to be able to link up in person. So you can't lend a game to a friend that lives across the country. But otherwise, it seems like it has potential. I just hope they improve upon it over time.

Yeah it can be really frustrating. These sets are selling for outrageous amounts on the reseller market. But unfortunately people like that are everywhere. I've been dealing with it in the gaming space for years as well.

I've played every Xenoblade game except this one. From what I've seen so far, it looks fantastic! I can't wait to play it.
