Truly terrifying stuff. Why aren't free speech activists speaking up about this? Where is your conscience?

Americans are beginning to fear dissent. That’s exactly what Trump wants | Robert Reich
Attacks on the pillars of civil society are chilling speech. But American democracy was built on criticism

I'm no fan of cancel culture, but what Megyn Kelly said was so disgusting that it should be career ending. Any decent society should have zero tolerance for that.

April in Canada, May in Australia, and now November in America: the right is losing ground quickly. It is the objective truth.

Why Trumpism is the Logical Endpoint of Movement Conservatism
It was only a matter of time for organized conservatism to turn into radical reactionism

The internet and online culture encourage political extremism. We need to wake up to this ASAP.

Giving this a needed boost. Thanks.
Blaming the prevalence of mass shootings in America on the existence of trans people isn’t just a dangerously stigmatizing, politically motivated take. It’s also bad math.

"Transgender individuals are much more prone to being the victims of violence than they are likely to commit it.”
Mass Shooters Are Not Disproportionately Transgender
Most mass shootings are carried out by cisgender men.

Unpopular opinion: we are still in the COVID era, like it or not. The economic and political aftermath, which led to the return of Trump, is arguably the worst part of COVID. This means the COVID era will last until Jan 20 2029 at least. The 2020s should be remembered as the COVID decade, period.

Trump can't hide this

Trump plays the politics game harder than anyone else. Certainly doesn't sound like an anti-establishment outsider. MAGA should have woken up a long time ago.
July 12, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Too many people just don't understand that liberal norms protect all parties. Guess they have to find out the painful way now.
The Republican Party and the conservatives on the Supreme Court are unwittingly making the next President the most powerful Democrat in American history 😆
WATCH — @jessicatarlov.bsky.social : “The idea that only Dems use nationwide injunctions is blatantly false. we don’t have student debt forgiveness because Republicans got a nationwide injunction.”

SCOTUS undercutting them = far more immunity & power for Trump.

MAGA simply isn't that different from the Bush-Cheney Republicans who upheld the forever war, pre-emptive strike ideology. It's simply different packaging. The fact is, MAGA exists on top of a Republican establishment who still believes in all those things.

Every Republican president in my lifetime has crashed the goddam economy and gotten us into the middle of an idiotic, poorly planned war in the Middle East.
June 17, 2025 at 4:34 PM
I think we need a new term to describe what the Trump GOP is. Whatever it is doing right now surely isn't 'conservative'. It's radical. It's radical in a reactionary way.

Unbelievable
Nothing to see here other than the current President of the United States of America reposting that Biden was executed in 2020 and who we all believe to be Biden is actually a clone 🤦‍♂️

It looks like Trump's trade wars are going nowhere. This was what everyone who had common sense expected. You can't turn back the clock on free trade. In other words, 'it's the economy, stupid'.

At least in South Korea, abuse of emergency powers can lead to impeachment. This is real democracy.

Trump and the populist right's use of 'emergency' as an excuse to dismantle safeguards must be called out and checked. It is becoming a pattern, frankly. www.nbcnews.com/politics/imm...
Top White House adviser Stephen Miller says 'we're actively looking at' suspending due process for migrants
The "privilege of the writ of habeas corpus can be suspended at a time of invasion. So I would say that's an action we're actively looking at," Miller told reporters outside the White House.

I took the time last night to discuss the current state of affairs with a Trump voter last night. One that voted for him, could admit that Trump ignoring the SCOTUS ruling to bring Kilmer back is bad, could admit that Trump is going wild with his tariffs, but still supported him. At the end, we
