I am an archaeologist specialized in the ancient Near East. Currently, I am a Senior lecturer at University of Geneva. My common thread is megalithic societies. I also carry out fieldwork in Lebanon (MEG-A) and Jordan (DPI-SKY)
🔍 Presented at #ICAANE2025: three years of excavations at Menjez, northern Lebanon, as part of the MEG-A project. Preliminary results & possible scenarios for this megalithic community at the turn of the 4th millennium BCE. #archaeology #MEGA #Lebanon #UNIGE

@meryl-dfs.bsky.social gave a great talk at the 14th ICAANE in Lyon! Focused on the megaliths of Menjez (Lebanon) and cultural practices in Akkar (5th–3rd mill. BCE). A detailed geoarchaeological look at their symbolism and materiality.
