I'm disheartened by the state of tech, but I still can't get enough of coding and learning—thanks to the teachers who didn’t just teach me software, but keep inspiring me with their integrity and resilience in an industry that rarely values either. Hope I can build something that makes them proud

Love those rambling video from @kevinpowell.co! The analogy with getting injured make so much sens. Something even more relatable.. I'm sick right now but getting better, but we realise much easier when we get sick than when we get better!

I think I'm gonna really do what I said I was, bloging!

Accurate and on-point. A topic that the whole industry needs to carefully reconsider

On that note, I see many devs prefer CSS Grid as if it supersedes Flexbox, but there are subtle differences. And I always go Flexbox first unless Grid is necessary. Not sure how to explain why though 🤔

One thing about making CSS content is when I see and interesting challenge, trying to solve it can make good content 😅

In this case, I saw a @codepen.io for a directionally-aware hover effect that only tracked mouse-in, so of course I wanted to try and track mouse-out too.

You prolly gonna need this regardless of where you are in your career. Reduce method is a little counter intuitive, and easy to forget
Have you always struggled with understanding reduce?

A recent post by @miriam.codes where she looked at why `box-sizing` shouldn't be inherited got me wondering if we even need to reset it to border-box in the first place...

Had a great conversation with @sjoy.lol today. We both toyed around with the web as a hobby starting in the late 90s, before eventually turning it into a career much later on.

We talked a lot about that, but then got into accessibility and I just loved how she referred to it as "a heart thing" 😊

I was using anchor positioning with a pseudo-element, and wanted to transition it between anchors. Thought I'd run into a wall with it, but instead of chaning the position-anchor on the element itself, you can just update which element has the anchor-name...
