Came across these gorgeous toyon berries on the trail. They are also known as California holly. Hollywood is named after them.

It was great to volunteer past Sunday with Surfrider Foundation’s local chapter to clean-up the sea turtle habitat at the river! Well over a ton of garbage was picked up, fished out or hauled out of the area.

From way out in our local deserts, I heard someone remark, “In one hundred years, there will be all new people.” Yep, we & everyone we know, even a newborn baby will be gone or near gone. Can’t stop the reality of THAT, n’est pas? So, while we are all still here, I say “May you be well.”
