In 2026, a Sub-Committee consisting of councilmembers, industry leaders, organizational partners, professional stakeholders, and community members will begin meeting to explore opportunities, address challenges, and co-create a dynamic, inclusive, and thriving nightlife for Berkeley.

To pick it up, you should bring your own shovels, containers, and safety gear to load the materials yourself. Pick-up trucks must tarp their loads.

Compost loads are delivered every Friday, usually by 6:30 am. A second load is delivered on Tuesdays when demand is high in the spring and summer (March to August). It is first-come, first-served, and city staff cannot guarantee or confirm availability.
