Dewdrops glisten on the branches, and the air is fresh, slightly cool from the passing night. Sunbeams dance through the veil of mist, and in the quiet, a small forest brook murmurs as it winds between moss-covered stones and roots.

I made this recording last summer in the early hours of June. I particularly like the early mornings in early summer. This is when northern nature is at its best in terms of light, colours, sounds and smells.

The wood pigeon is one of my favourites. Last spring, I managed to capture a great atmospheric moment in its nesting forest. A great spring moment.
