In collaboration with AIR Lab at @itu.dk I am exploring how an interactive sound art installation can become a sociological research probe. #SoundArt #SonicInteractionDesign #ResearchThroughArtAndDesign

New composition tool in the making. The tool doubles as an affective chess game analyser by converting chess games into chord progressions.

… here with an additional two rows and chord names. Notice how the Ionian scale appears backwards in the middle row.

A little diatonic experiment. Maybe a key in spe to fractal composition. 🤔🤗

Virtual Ikebana based on Fibonacci numbers
9 loops (1–55 min), starting randomly, always aligning musically.
A 3D soundwork inspired by Japanese flower art – 3 sound types (soundscape, melody, bass) arranged in 3 asymmetrical triangles following Ikebana principles.

My latest “art as scientific method” @itu.dk: an app-based art project where real-time air quality data shapes a soundscape, visualized through color codes. Seven data points (gases + particles) distort the ideal sound. AR makes users see and hear air quality around them.

Switching between Root Scape and Rndm Seq allows you to hear your scale in a dynamic musical setting, with Root Scape providing a tonal foundation for the random note combinations.

Beautiful scale! I call it Hexatonic dominant (b9#5), and with C as the root, I call it Diminished 13 Hexatonic. It’s balanced and full of tension, just as the geometric form suggests.
Try it yourself here: www.mutestate.com/itu/Fretboard/

I'm on an updating/upgrading streak! So many new features. Here´s the preset scale view mode 🤷‍♂️
Try it out and let me know how it works for you.

New feature in my scale and chord tool! I have implemented a new view that allows a geometric perspective on scales and chords. Here is a whole-tone scale that very satisfyingly becomes a perfect hexagon.

Here’s a reel of my audiovisual symphonic representation of protein synthesis. Science translated methodically into musical algorithm. The piece was commissioned by Aarhus University.
