Using bacteriophages to diagnose a disease is infeasible presently as bacteriophages are highly individualized and ever-evolving.

I believe some of the bacteria within the food microbiome are functional in terms of for both fermentation and health effect on humans, yet most of the other co-occurring bacteria within it might be minor and dead ones due to perhaps contaminations
