I really enjoy my walks in conservation areas. Such diverse resident birds are so interesting to watch as they hunt, preen, and sleep.
A green heron hunting for an opportunity to catch a meal near algae covered water while standing in the fire-flag plants and thrush. A nightjar called Chuck-Will.’s widow sleeps on the fallen palm fronds during the day. A cormorant preens its belly feathers. The emerald colored eyes are stunning .

Wildlife spotting during a stroll in a local wetland. Life is wondrous.
