Took my kid to the playground so I could start learning a new mystery language…

The better I know a language the lower my confidence level.

But maybe being (over)confident early on is not that bad because it makes you feel like you can move mountains when you only know 9 words and can form 4 sentences 😁

And then you go and try to move those mountains ⛰️

Turns out the language is still tucked in somewhere in my brain even though I don't use it regularly.

I looked up some words in Google Translate.

In Soviet primary school, we learned English from a textbook that featured a fictional Soviet girl Lena Stogov and her brother Boris Stogov going about their everyday business of being good Young Pioneers.
It's a miracle I know English at all.
