Highlights from day four of Canadian Children’s Book Week, which I’ve been spending in Kamloops with some amazing kids, teachers, teacher-librarians, and library assistants.

(Did you know that Kamloops has a summer book bus that goes park to park like an ice cream truck and gives away free books?)

A busy first two days of Canadian Children’s Book Week in Kamloops. In the last 48 hours, I’ve been to two public libraries and three school libraries, given six presentations, and met more than 200 kids! (Plus several marmots.)

My first email of the morning was a student needing to discuss the vampire politics in their young adult novel. I think I may have the perfect job.
