No one of note. Corporate cog on the streets, socialist in the sheets. Elder gamer, tv criticism enjoyer, independent journalism enthusiast, politics despairer. I sometimes post 90’s rock songs + trivia. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Cat for no reason in particular

I’m loving Death’s Door. I didn’t know how much I wanted a boss to call me a ‘little shit’ and I wish it happened more often. What I *hate* is ice. I hate it so much. Perhaps even more than status effects in boss fights

When it’s very cold I occasionally catch one of my cats putting her paws under the radiator and it’s the cutest thing ever

I have discovered a crime scene in my home. Unsure of the culprit but I have some suspects to question

Ender Magnolia is a fantastic metroidvania and a worthy sequel that I’d argue is better than its predecessor. It has the same customizable mix and match combo of melee and AOE attacks that made the first one so fun. Cooldown versus a fixed amount of AOE uses between rest points was a welcome change

Ender Magnolia is already great like 20 minutes in - fluid melee combat, beautiful hand-drawn dystopian world, interesting story. Loved the first one, excited to see where this goes

That isn’t what the order says. It expressly dictates that sex is determined at conception. This would mean that all humans are female.

Verdict: Pacific Drive is a unique survival roguelite, initially frustrating for the ‘learn by doing’ crowd (me). Farming loop is tedious at times. Mid-game was challenging but enjoyable. I sputtered my way to the ending, which felt appropriate. Repairing/upgrading the car is fun… until it isn’t

Busted headlight, probably

Finally played Neva and it’s beautiful. Simple combat and platforming were great, traversing to new areas was tedious. Scale is so off at times that it’s hard to even see the character, which is my only real complaint. It’s also uniquely heartbreaking. If you enjoyed Gris, I highly recommend this

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

Without getting political, what’s your starting energy for 2025?

Just… awesome. Calling all falconers who can train and outfit them ala the warhawks in Elden Ring and then let them loose at Maralago.

I don’t love that the new Monument Valley game is a Netflix games exclusive, but it’s as stunning and fun as its predecessors

Apple “Rose” pie with custard. Relatives absconded with it before I got to take a picture of the finished product. Powdered sugar is a nice finishing touch, even for naughty cats.

Apparently Kathy Hochul is holding a meeting on Tuesday to talk to CEOs about their safety. I found this quite particularly gross given the Jordan Neely case decision and recent shooting of a fare evader.

Least favorite boss and/or mission/puzzle/platforming section etc this year? These are mine. (Description in alt text, spoilers for Elden Ring SOTE and Animal Well)

Posting this because some misinfo about the Jordan Neely case seems to be spreading. Article link in comment.
