Disillusioned to find that the America taught about in grade school is not the real America of today.

When you invent a ship you also invent a shipwreck.
It's time to stop talking about how the rich are getting richer. That isn't working. Start talking about what Dems would do differently. And actually DO IT. Because I remember a lot of Biden talk about Medicare-for-all... didn't happen.

For some reason, I feel like it should be a dumpster fire...

It's weird to think that all our freedoms rely on the opinions of a few dozen people, many of whom have lives that are nothing like the people who's freedoms they are determining.

If Trump can withhold CA funds for allowing transgender sports, could another President withhold funds from TX for restricting transgender sports?

Are we just gonna allow the President to whipsaw federal funding based on ideological beliefs of one person? Is this any way to run a country?!? 🙄

"Why Is This Supreme Court Handing Trump More and More Power?"

That... THAT is the question.

For all the "originalist" talk, they seem to forget that America was established as a rejection of Kings. And, yet, their decisions are creating one. Ultimately, they are responsible for all this.

I don't live in the America I was taught about in grade school. The reality check has been heartbreaking. 😢

So Rubio is in charge of slashing and hobbling the State department, and stands aside as Trump erects harmful trade barriers, but somehow has the chutzpah to say America is not withdrawing from the world?

WTF is wrong with these people?!?

This is 💯 consistent with American culture of: You're on your own.

You're on your own with healthcare.
You're on your own with housing.
You're on your own with childcare.
You're on your own in a disaster.

Better hope you've got a lot of 💰 or you're 😱.

By this logic, we really should be ending all the coal, gas and oil subsidies. I mean... we're gonna run out of coal, gas, and oil before we run out of wind and sun.

Maybe, also, stop calling it the "Department of Justice". At least until it starts acting impartial and fair.

But... IDK... Maybe it's never been impartial and fair. 🤷‍♂️

It affects the United States by regulating us to be a second class follower nation rather than a world leader. And rejection of science makes us less healthy, raises our costs, and kills us earlier.

Thanks, Trump...

There are plenty of "natural" substances that are toxic, and many, many synthesized ones that are safe. This romanticized notion about "natural" foods is ridiculous, costly, and unscalable.

Please, NBC... stop reporting on this Trump "calls for" garbage. He's a non-stop word puke machine - none of it means anything.

If he actually gets something accomplished, then I'll be interested.

I wonder what it would have been like had Democratic administrations put the same kind of pressure on Fox, due to their lies and fraud, that Trump is using against CBS. 😕

Learn your lesson, Democrats. Be prepared when you're next in charge.

Yet another example of Vermont's well polished and cultivated mythological liberalism failing when put to the test.

Seems like Walmart, in response, should tell Trump to eliminate his tariffs. Why is everyone tip-toeing around the Trump insanity?
May 18, 2025 at 2:44 PM
It's not just what Trump wants... it's what the GOP wants. Republicans could put an end to this, but they don't. I blame them.
May 16, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Isn't this just an arguably VERY effective troll? Sheesh! All the emotional energy expended on this while she's doing actual harm to real people.

Ignore this trash. Focus on what matters.

Oh... And remember... Republicans are letting this happen.
May 16, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Maybe people should stop voting for these representatives? 🤷‍♂️

I mean, really - besides serving the MAGA red meat of cutting social programs and attacking minorities, what do GOP legislators do that benefits the people who are electing them?
