My aunt Franky has died. She was in incredible woman: poet, filmmaker. Many well-known filmmakers were championed early in their careers by her, while she always shunned the spotlight.
More importantly, she loved her cats and was loved by them. 🐈

Landed in São Paulo after a pretty bumpy flight, they basically left the seatbelt sign on the whole flight.

If you walk Las Vegas Blvd from the MGM to Freemont you pass through 3 distinct worlds: luxury and wealth to start. A middle bit of faded glory that feels forgotten and destined to be demo’d ; rebuilt for wealthy tourists. And then a hardscrabble but revitalizing downtown brimming with art & life.

Aided by back-to-back birdies on the first 2 baskets I had my best-ever game of disc golf at Shirley Macey today, finishing one-under. I’d thrown for par a couple of times previously. Pictured, the 2nd basket that was very nearly my first-ever ace.
