i am sorry for your loss....
my boy,9, stopped eating a couple of weeks back. exploratory surgery removed a mass off of his lower intestine. now he is fighting an infection. he is holding his own, but just barely.

fire exclusion is the issue. commercial logging will have an effect on fire behavior. perhaps less crown fire...but an opened forest is drier and windier...also allows for more fine fuels to grow, increasing rates of spread and thus potential fire size...
