No one to replace Chuck Schumer? I’d love it if you could break down every one who is at the top of the Dem party & who has the most influence. Then who needs to go. I think we need to start being very honest, very specific & a little cutthroat. We need innovative ideas to fix broken systems

Don’t say you were MAGA but saying FO to one of our very best & who has done so much for liberals & liberal causes b/c people disagree with his Biden takes FEELS MAGA to me. That’s what I meant

We supported him even when we shouldn’t have. No one wanted to hurt Biden. Again it’s okay to hate MAGA (the lying corrupt cult) & be very mad at Biden for putting us in a terrible spot. & leaving such a comm vacuum which right-wing gladly filled. He made so many public missteps, very hard to watch

Respectfully disagree. Jon has commented on all that & more. Remember he only came back I think shortly before the disastrous debate. Biden’s team threw voters under the bus b/c majority wanted a primary & for him to pass to next generation as he said he would. They ignored voters & their concerns.

Huge reason they have been/are thriving. The worst strategic comms ever, ever. It’s okay to be mad at HOW they handled the pardon too. Have been great discussions about this. I think Jon has proven himself for 20+ yrs. He was never partisan. His interviews are still solution-oriented, awesome

wasn’t at all equipped to handle MAGA much less lead the effort to destroy them. It’s not even what he does but HOW. His team is either way out of touch (as Dems DNC “leaders” clearly have been since 2015) or he is extremely proud, stubborn & aged very quickly. I think all are true. His team HURT us

Honestly I’ve never heard of snitch-tagging; personally find it ridiculous. If people share opinions they should have no issue w/the subject seeing it. Keep it off a public platform. Here we should be able to have constructive convos, I thought?Snitching wasn’t even close to being on my mind

I hear you but don’t want us to give up! I do think a few of them, especially Tim Miller, have become (evolved in my opinion 😄) almost liberal, especially on cultural issues. I think Dems have lost the comms/marketing war the last 10 yrs (when we needed it the most) so we could use help there

And just want all the allies we can get. I do believe a lot of them have better messaging when fighting MAGA than many many Dems. Sadly.

I do 💯 agree with that. Trump is the outcome of 30+ yrs of intentional, strategic right-wing lies, anger/fear mongering. And many were more than complicit. But quite a few of them have acknowledged, condemned their own past actions & have actively worked to defeat MAGA. Have become close to liberal

Why can’t we be friends? The black or white thinking I don’t understand. We need everyone we can get to slay Trump. Harris team made strategic mistakes but that’s not The Bulwark’s fault. We should discuss w/young progressives; we don’t have to buy into their every opinion. Same with everyone. Imo

I still disagree & w/the young progressives as well. I understand their POV-a discussion could be had about our policies & whether to move to the center or left. But Liz Cheney was masterful in Jan 6 hearings & the others counter right-wing talking points SO much better than most Dems.
