Built a local app to monitor dev environments! Tracks memory usage with start, stop, and restart process buttons. Written in #Python and depends on #GTK 4.0 for GUI.

Alpaca, a private AI client available on Flatpak, is an awesome client to run on Linux. I am using it to run Qwen2(1.5B) and Llama3.2(3B) locally on my laptop. Qwen2(1.5B) performs better as it was designed to run on CPUs with hybrid 4/8-bit precision.

Mind blown! 🤯 Just learned about BitNet b1.58, a new type of Large Language Model! Instead of the usual 16-bit numbers, its weights are only -1, 0, or 1 (that's roughly 1.58 bits!).

Does habit tracking in a notebook work as well as modern digital tools? These days, I'm seeing a lot of videos about journaling and habit tracking in a single notebook and why it is necessary. I feel that writing is just for aesthetics. So, I will test it myself and see what suits me.
