This is one of the reasons why we need more women and minorities in tech and in politics. This problem is not taken seriously because it isn't a problem for the men in charge, and they're focused on protecting and pleasing other men.
I'm currently in the situation where I have to decide if I want to try a certain treatment method or not (it's not clear if the possible benefits outweigh the possible side effects), and I know why I won't discuss it with a certain person who's very fast with recommending accupuncture for support...

Got my results back, it got a bit worse, but the current course of action is increasing some of the meds I already take to mitigate my blood being to acidic & preventing my bones from getting brittle (both are some common side effects from having #CKD in one of the higher stages). And (1/2)
My bi-yearly kidney checkup is on Monday, which means that I'm thinking a lot more about what will happen if my kidneys got worse. I know that there are treatment options and all that stuff. It's still scary.
My CKD was stable in the last 2 years, and I hope it stays that way for many more years.

Just saw that Stack Overflow (go-to page for programming-related questions) banned AI-generated, content, questions and answers. The reasoning behind it is basically that GenAI often gives wrong answers, they got flooded with them in the past & they don't have the resources to filter out (1/2)

The biggest difference between my old & my new job is that in my new job, I'm now getting involved in all the task-planning stuff under supervision of my boss, who's a fullstack dev, too.
In my old job, management with no technical background did the contracts & I had to make it happen somehow.

Facebook just reminded me that it's already 12 years since I passed the Matura exam (Abitur in Germany). Passing the Matura is the main requirement to go to university.

KI kann jetzt bestimmen, wo ein Bild geschossen wurde - teilweise liegt sie nur wenige Meter daneben. Im Gegensatz zu diesem Artikel hier finde es sehr gefährlich, dass jetzt jeder sehr einfach anhand von Bildern nachvollziehen kann, wo eine andere Person war.
