Note that this is a state judge, and issues that revolve around state law & the state constitution (and an amendment adopted by voters) — the decision will be appealed up the chain of state courts, but it'd be a surprise if federal courts get involved.

In the map judge selected, Harris carried the district centered on Salt Lake by 24 (per @stephenwolf.bsky.social).

Trump carried of all Utah's current districts by 19-26%. Facing a ruling against that gerrymander, GOP tried a map with 2 districts that went Trump by single-digits. Judge opposed.

Hi there: Could you provide an update on the number of ballots you believe remain to be processed and/or counted within the city of Seattle?

but blamed local elections officials

The King County elections office was posting a different number on social media, and was also being relayed by the local press, and there were plenty of articles breaking down the uncertainty, so I don't see it.

Roughly 267K has been counted, and something like 7-8K (a little more with challenged ballots) remain
November 11, 2025 at 12:05 AM
If my own count from what we knew on Friday is correct, there should be about 7K ballots left. You'd expect them to break for Wilson as well, but now it's Harrell who needs them.

There are also 100s of 'challenged ballots that people who've cast them can still fix (i.e. verifying their signature).

LEAD CHANGE: Katie Wilson is now ahead of Mayor Harrell by... 91 votes.

That's out of ≈270K!

Seattle counted roughly 39K ballots today, & they broke in favor of Wilson by 11.4%, erasing the entirety of the incumbent's lead.
