Development worker and printmaker using stamps and relief prints to tell (auto)ethnographies rooted in personal, political, and collective experience shaped by life in the Global South. 🇵🇭
I have another pop up exhibit this coming week at the University of the Philippines, and a group show at our favorite gallery the week after next. I am beyond exhausted but also happy and grateful. Hope to see you in one of our events.

Still exhausted from all the exhibit last minute preps and the opening yesterday. It was so much fun but also overatimulating. Need to load the tranvia ticket box again later this afternoon and welcome some fam and guests. Hope to see you if you drop by. It's at the 2F of First United Building.

I'll be in Escolta on 22nd and 29th. Will probably sell some electronically printed stickers (no time to hand print) based on the hand-pulled prints. I have another interactive prints in Quezon City on the same week (+ day job) so I can't stay at the Hola Escolta event the whole week.

Grab your free hand-printed tranvía ticket and step back in time!

“Tranvías de Filipinas vía Calle de la Escolta” is Gale’s interactive print installation that brings Manila’s historic tranvía system to life.

I started my customizable protest stamps activity last year. I'm so glad that after a year I was able to expand it. And that's also because of strong support from my community. Printmaking for me has always been an expansion of my development work, my advocacies are my printmaking anchors.

Also, I was supposed to say no to this project, because big event is a new territory and I wasn't sure if I can pull off an advocacy stamp bar in a crowd that I am not really familiar with. But it was a success. The participants loved the stamps and they did create their own stories through it. 🥹🥹🥹

My stamps did survive, though I have to retire some of them, which is what I was expecting. But no broken stamps during the event! Thankful for my friends for recommending a dependable assistant and for dropping by to help in during rush hour!

I just wanna say that I'm so proud of myself for pulling off the stamp bar in a big event. My stamp and print events are usually intimate, usually around 20 and max 50 people. We had to deal w a huge crowd and hoped that my stamps could handle the wear and tear of more than a hundred of people.
