If you have EVER used Meta, it’s too late for that. In fact, if you’ve ever been on the same Wi-fi with anyone who has Facebook Messenger on their phone, regardless of whether you use Meta or not, Meta has your data. FB Messenger is supposedly the biggest security risk in the app store.

Maybe so, but look at rednote data privacy page on the Google Play store vs Instagram. I'm not downloading rednote, but the issue truly is data being harvested and brokered by US companies.
